Hunter Moran

March 7, 2010 - November 15, 2022

Hunter Moran was a 12 year old Corgi. He passed over the rainbow bridge on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

His life from his mother's words,

Hunter was surrendered to Southeast Corgi Rescue with untreated diabetes in the Spring of 2018 and was our first foster for SECR. He was already blind, but just didn't seem to care. Right away we were smitten. He unsurprisingly became a Moran that fall. He was such a good sport the next 4 years with all of his trips to the vet, acupuncture and 2 daily insulin injections. He loved to ride so much so that sometimes we would just take him for a spin around the block. Hunter loved meeting new people. His sense of smell was precise, and as soon as someone new would pet him, he would jump with excitement. Hunter was an awesome brother first to fur sisters, Ellie Belle and Kaley and brother Watson, then later, another corgi sister Mia. He also helped in the transition of at least 85 other foster pups to their new homes. He developed diabetic neuropathy this past year and pretty quickly lost the use of his back legs. He would let us know when he needed to go potty and we would “airlift” him out and in. Hunter was a very special boy. A big thank you and hug to Suzanne who went above and beyond to care for him so we could take vacations. Thank you to the amazing SECR team for always being there. Thank you to Jessica, his first vet, for working so hard to get him regulated. Thank you to everyone at Lakeview Veterinary Hospital for his constant care the last 3 years. And finally, thank you to Tracey and Triad Pet Cremation & Cemetery for always taking care of our pets (and fosters) at the very end. We will adjust and always cherish our sexy beast, Our Happy Hunter Boo.
